The Legend of Mount Tampomas
Mount Tampomas is located in Sumedang Regency, West Java Province. Previously Mount Tampomas was named Mount Gede. According to the folklore of West Java, during the Sumedang kingdom, Gunung Tampomas once issued an eruption, and to stop the eruption, the king of Sumedang Larang had to throw a golden dagger into the crater of Mount Gede so that his name was changed to Mount Tampomas.
